This
exotic sounding woodpecker as spotted near the trail in mid March. He was
quickly making this large pine tree a sculpted masterpiece. He seemed
unconcerned about me getting within 10 feet of him to take these photos. I
tried and enlist him to become part of trail maintenance crew since he know his
